The book is considered one of the greatest American literary classics, and has been made into numberous film adaptations.




1970: Sir Paul McCartney releases his first solo album, titled "McCartney."
This launches the solo career of one of history's greatest musicians and effectively marked the end of the Beatles as a rock group.
Okay, maybe the breaking up of the Beatles is another "not so great example." But, HISTORY, right?




1971: You know that scene in "Forest Gump," which every fan wonders what it's significance is?
On April 10, 1971, the United States ping pong team became the first American delegation to step foot in the people's republic of China since 1949. Yes, Forest Gump began the defusing process of the Cold War.




1998: The Belfast Agreement, otherwise known as the Good Friday Agreement, is signed."
In the largest development in the history of the Northern Ireland peace process, the Belfast Agreement was signed.
This brought an eventual end to the period of time known as "The Troubles", and paved the way for the Irish peace process




2010: The same day Jason and Michele got married, Jimbo Fisher coached his first Spring Game as Head Coach of the FSU Seminoles football team.
